Celine Dion at the Olympic Games this July 26, 2024 in Paris
After 4 years of absence, Céline Dion returns to the forefront with an extraordinary performance for the closing of the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympic Games . Thomas Jolly had hidden it well, and despite the rain, the ceremony ended in style.
With the announcement of her illness ( stiff person syndrome ) in December 2022 and the cancellation of concerts which had disappointed more than one fan, Celine Dion was surprised to return to the opening stage of the French Olympic games last Friday July 26, 2024.
She closed an already exceptional ceremony, and her “Hymn to Love”, originally by Edith Piaf , is now breaking all records on YouTube. The singer, who did not do any lip-syncing, trained specifically for the Olympic Games. Indeed, for her it was the only opportunity to return to the stage: “If I have to come back to sing, it will be for the Olympic Games”.
The fans are unanimous, from Vanessa Hudgens to the president, and to all the spectators of Celine Dion's performance, the singer was exceptional . She left Paris the day after the Olympics ceremony, greeting a few fans along the way...
