imminent seventy springs, Jean-Louis Aubert
continues to follow its path without flinching.
The cyber-troubadour lives in his century, explores the field
of his certainties and questions. As usual,
a lot of material accumulated here. The disk is called
PAFINI, allusion, to his desire to fight again and
door open especially to new bursts of songs
which will be distilled in the near future.
Within a transgenerational crew (Renaud Letang,
Eliott Sigg, Bernie Grundman) the artist deploys a lot
ingenuity in terms of melodic subtleties and
arrangements. It’s a societal, self-fictional record,
liberated, warm and with diffuse moods including the
music has something familiar yet without
stoop to the slightest commonplace.
