3. The conscious commitments of the Les Ardentes festival
The Ardentes know that a successful festival also requires safety and respect for people and the environment. One of the festival's primary responsibilities is to fight against discrimination, harassment, and violence . On a festival of more than 200 thousand people in 4 days, it is essential. Respect for the environment is of course the second axis on which the Ardentes require particular attention.
The objective of the festival is to offer a moment of musical sharing with kindness and respect.
In summary, you can remember that on the festival-goer's charter, you must:
- Celebrating diversity and inclusiveness
- Respect consent
- Moderate your alcohol consumption
- Be an active witness to what is happening
- Be respectful
And on the environment:
- Cohabiting with festival neighbors
- Have eco-responsible behavior
- Camping cleanly
- Promote gentle means of travel (carpooling, train, etc.)
- Manage and sort your waste
Of course, the festival is also committed to being eco-responsible by implementing actions which sometimes involve their audience:
- Collection and sorting of cigarette butts
- Trash collection competition
- Coca-Cola cup collecting competition
- Phone recycling via Proximus
- Local and ethical catering
- Contribution to tree planting in Wallonia
